The National Mentoring Partnership and Save the Children have developed a database of mentoring programs throughout the country that have agreed to comply with recognized elements of effective practice.

The National Mentoring Partnership database includes two types of organizations/programs that meet the following criteria:

yellow handMentoring programs are organizations and programs that:
  • Support ongoing, intense adult-youth mentoring relationships, between 6 months and 1 year in duration.
  • meet the industry standards for responsible mentoring set out in Mentoring: Elements of Effective Practice.

  • yellow handCaring adult programs are youth-serving organizations and programs that:
  • Use caring adult volunteers in roles such as teachers, tutors, or group leaders.
  • Meet industry standards for their field.
