Participants

Participants in the SAHIV Community Capacity Building project include a diverse range of community service organizations across the country. Many of the grantees are affiliated with clinical or medical organizations. No less than 37 of the 47 programs have a coalition (as defined by two or more partners in place) and have no less than 434 agencies involved in this initiative. Faith-based involvement in the project is significant, with no less than 20 programs having a formal association with faith-based coalitions and no less than 47 churches involved in this initiative.

The types of prevention programs developed by the participants are varied as well and include:
